1. So, I think I read a great fic a while back, but I can't remember what it was called. I think it might have been Hotch/Reid, but I'm not certain. Anyway, instead of Gideon being protective of Spencer, and his usual mentor-ly self, in this fic he pretty much bullied Reid. I remember a scene where he profiles Reid in front of the whole team. Actually, erm, wait - it might have been the other way around, with Gideon hating Hotch and profiling him.
Writing these things out is apparently useful. I remember a bit more now - Hotch wanted to join the BAU, and I think Spencer was running the show, which made Gideon upset and somewhat spiteful. He takes his anger out on Hotch, verbally, and profiles his childhood in front of the team. I think it was heading towards Hotch/Reid, but I don't think it ever got completed.
2. Now that I know I got the fic above the wrong way around, I'd like to know if there are any where Gideon is nasty to Reid/always trying to make his life hell.
3. Are there any fics out there that deal with Spencer getting over his addiction to dilaudid? I know there are plenty, but I'm looking for a really well written one (or more!) where Reid at first thinks he has to suffer in silence, and is getting ready to leave the BAU. It's be really great if one of the team steps up and tries to help him, or if there was more input from his sponsor. I just want a really believable take on how he gets over it.
4. Any Dexter/Criminal Minds crossovers? I don't even know where to start looking for these, but I was watching Season 2 of Criminal Minds the other day and thinking about Frank. You know, Frank Lundy, superstar of the FBI. Or should I say, Frank Breitkopf, serial killer? I don't know. Anyways, he's in season 2 of both shows, and whilst I got weirded out by him in CM, I got a big crush on him in Dexter. So anything where the FBI are once again called to Miami, and have to track down the latest serial killer, with a side of "Jesus, didn't you die?" to Lundy, and a couple of extra helpings of, "So, Dexter... Do you like blood spatter? Because we could really use an analyst as good as you... Oh, what's that you say? You'll drastically reduce our catch rate? By killing all our unsubs? Wow! I've got a really nice pair of handcuffs with your name on them!" Hopefully a little less silly, though.
5. I would really like to read something where Reid (prior to joining the BAU, or maybe he never joined in the first place) is a suspect, and the BAU are called in to break him down. Police are 100% certain that he's their guy, but the BAU isn't quite so certain.
6. Last one, I swear! So, the other day I read "Dumb and Ditzy" by TimelessTears, and I was kind of hoping you guys would know of another fic or three out there where Reid decides to go undercover as an idiot. It would be pretty awesome if he became the suspect in a case because people knew he was hiding something, or if when he was absent minded he spouted off some statistics or something that made it seem like he was their unsub.
