I read this fic months ago and fell in love with its complex, subtly rendered OCs. I loved it. I remembered it. But I didn't, apparently, bookmark it.
A year or more after Reid's gone missing, a shy archivist with the FBI, her artist roommate, and a third (male) friend, also connected to the Bureau in some low-ranking way, decide to take up the search. The BAU, who have looked unsuccessfully for months, jump all over the archivist for opening old wounds, but she still doesn't leave it alone.
I'm 99% confident that the title was indeed "For the Body by the Interstate"; I'm 98% confident that the summary was "He was someone they loved." I'm about 97% that I read it here on LJ. However, Google gives me the raspberry when I search for all this, and the one thing I can't remember is the author. Halp?
