Are there any fics out there where Reid does something really insane for the team or a case? Like willingly allowing himself to get shot, or kidnapped or volunteering to be bait, or something like that. Has to be him wanting to do it, and not someone else in the team telling him too. Preferably no pairings, but anything is fine.
I've read two fics like this; one where Reid is held hostage (I think in a bank) and in order to ensure the safety of the other captives, he makes a deal with the captor, and tells his captor that he can shoot him but not kill him, so his team will think he is dead, but if his captor is caught, his prison sentence will be less since he hasn't actually killed anyone.
